Hi All,
I have a month & lead time there is any formula to add Month + Lead time = request month
Month | Lead Time | Req. Month |
Jan | 90 | Apr |
Jan | 60 | Mar |
Jan | 45 | Mar |
Jan | 120 | May |
"Jan" can be any date from January 1 through January 31. Add 90 days and you end up at March 31 (Mar) and April 30 (Apr). With 45 days this would be February 15 (Feb) and March 16 (Mar).
So, please elaborate on the logic why Jan and 90 will always become Apr. Similarly, why will Jan and 45 always become Mar.
Should we assume that "Jan" actually means January 31? If so, enter the month end in 'Month' and just add the Lead Time to it. Custom format both 'Month' and 'Req. Month' as mmm.
Hi Riny,
We are not calculating days wise, calculating in month wise payment its means if 90 days = 3 month (JAN / FEB+MAR+APR = APR) Apr month we will paying to supplier.
Hello,
See attached file for one solution.
If you're using old Excel version then this will not work for you. To simplify things I suggest you work with date values, but then you need to consider what Riny writes in post 2.
