I need help with adding several days worth of hourly input. I know the formula begins with: [h] but I can't find it referenced in my many Excel books.  Does anyone know the answer to this question??

Hi William,

You can just add the cells together and then use a custom number format to display the cumulative time i.e. [h]:mm

As Mynda commented already, your answer is in formatting.
If you add 12:30 + 15:45 you expect to to see 28:15 and Excel displays 4:15. Excel is using a 24 hour cycle formatting and 28:15 is 4:15 over the 24 hours.
To display the total number of hours 28:15 instead of 4:15 - use the format cells (or CTRL +1) and type [h]:mm;@.
