Hi
I do not really understand the difference between notes and comments. why would I use one rather than the other? What is the purpose of Microsoft in including both options?

Hi Dieneba,
Comments or Threaded Comments is their official name are the new improved notes. They kept notes in Excel for backwards compatibility, but most people will use Comments going forward. That said, Notes can do some things that comments can't e.g. you can change their shape, colour, font format etc.
