Hi, Today I am really stuck and I thought I knew Conditional formatting well 🙂 Please help me to understand the following better. At about 3: 35 in the video for Conditional Formatting an explanation is given how the Conditional Formatting is applied based on the cell calculation. What baffles me is that the Conditional Formatting is applied to cells E4 to E32, so the Icon sets that display are the result of the contents of cells E4 to E32. Yet, in the video it is explained that the Icon set is based on a percentage calculation as demonstrated in the video but the calculation for the percentage is in column H, not column E. How does the Conditional Formatting link to the calculation of column H if it is applied to column E? Thanks for your patience
Hi Peter,
The calculation in column H is me demonstrating the calculation that's taking place in the background of the Conditional Formatting rule. It is not related to the conditional formatting or affecting it in any way.
