Q: I use weekly data how can I lumped it up to show each week but minimize the use of the weekly dates

Hi Sara,
Welcome to our forum!
If you use proper date serial numbers in your chart you can set the date axis units to Major in 7 or 14 day groups. Select the date axis > CTRL+1 to open the format axis pane > on the Axis Options tab (the mini column chart icon) set the Units to 'Major' 7 days etc.
