Hi Mynda,
I try to hide the categories on the x-values, which do not contain values. I have attached a sample file.
Here I have long data with different account managers and their respective sales by business unit. Since not all managers in each business unit have made sales, I would like a chart showing only the business units where each selected account manager (using a data validation list) has made sales.
Is there a way to achieve this? Would you recommend doing this in a different way?
Thanks as always for your support.
Regards,
Maria
Hi Maria,
Why don't you use a Pivot Chart and Slicers to choose the Account Manager. See attached.

Hi Mynda,
thanks for your reply. I was looking for another way to do it rather than using pivot and slicers since I do have a long list of accounts managers. Those are about 28.
Do you think I can achieve that with formulas?
thanks and regards
Maria
Not easily, no. Especially if you don't have Office 365 and dynamic arrays. I would just make the Slicer as small as you want, then the user can use the scroll bar to choose the manager. Tips on making Slicers small.

Thanks a lot for the tips!! I did it as you said and it looks really good even with so many account managers.
I really appreciate your support. It is amazing that you take some time to answer all the posts.

My pleasure, Maria. Glad you're finding value in the course 🙂
