Is it possible to chart only the grand total of a pivot table?  I am tracking a part number that transforms into a new part number(s) once something is done to it in the next process step.  Ultimately, it is still the same part so I am trying to show the overall part loss regardless of the part number change.

Sorry, but for some reason I am not able to attach the file to the post.

Hi Irving

You could try using a cell to extract the grand total from the Pivot Table eg MAX(B4:B100) and then create a normal chart from it.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
A pivot chart will not display the grand total. You can try using GETPIVOTDATA formula to extract the grand totals from the pivot table and use this data with a regular chart.

Thank you Sunny and Catalin.  That is what I figured.  I just hoped I was wrong.

Thank you,

Irving
