I know this one will be a simple one for you.  I am 1/3 of the way through the course so it may be covered later on.

I have tables of data, approximately 500 transaction records per year.  One of the fields is a "Status" which provides a drop down menu for the different and ongoing status of a project (each project is considered a single transaction).

Out of the 500 or so records for a given year, I would like to filter out those transactions that meet certain Status criteria, and reproduce the results on a different worksheet or workbook.  The results would be the record or some of the fields from the record, that can then be edited to provide a snapshot of what is happening in the business ie what projects are on hold, what action is being taken to progress them etc.

I would like to do this on a monthly basis to monitor performance.

What do you think would be the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance (and learning lots in the course)

Hi John,

Sounds like the perfect job for a PivotTable. Let me know if you get stuck putting it together.
