Hello, I am taking the Dashboard course and run into frustrating differences building my Pivot Charts.
So in 2.02 you create this chart by clicking the Pivot-Chart icon and get a number of options for the selection of a type of chart. In Excel 365 in my iMac I get a column chart, without options to change that ( and have to change it using formatting commands). OK, I can get my Chart Correct but, there are no +/- signs in the left corner of my pivot chart and also I have no + sign to the top - right next to my Pivot Chart.
So each 'simple' activity requires my lots of time to find out how to get the same results you have.
Is this simply the effect of using Excel 365 for iMac? Or is there a general setting to get the behaviour shown in the videos?

Excel for the Mac has nearly all the features that Excel offers to Windows users, The user interface, however, is quite different in many places as you have discovered. There is no setting in Excel for the Mac to control pivot charts in a Windows way.
To overcome the specific problem of the missing +/- and filter buttons that you find in a 'Windows pivot chart', you have to manipulate the underlying pivot table when working on a Mac.
Like Riny said, the functionality is almost the same on a Mac as it is on a PC, but there are still some differences. Unfortunately, there's no magic button to make the interface the same, but we're happy to help if you come across something you can't map from the videos to what you see on your Mac.
