I created a basic Dashboard on my desktop computer. I protected the dashboard sheet during the creation process. I'd like to keep users from accidentally deleting objects making the dashboard corrupt and unusable. I then I sent it to myself as a test and opened it on my laptop. When the dashboard is opened on the smaller screen, some of the slicers and objects are not fully viewable. I attached a pic of the truncated slicers as experienced on my laptop.
I then kept adjusting the columns and slicers on my desktop until I corrected the viewing issues on my laptop.
Is there a way to make a dashboard autofit the viewers screen size or some best practices to accommodate most viewers. I probably just missed this in the course, so if anyone can point me to the lesson I would appreciate it.
Thx!
Mike
Hi Mike,
There's no built-in/automatic way for Excel to detect the screen resolution and adjust the charts and slicers to fit. One option is to create multiple sheets of the dashboard. Build one then copy the sheet and resize for different resolutions of your users. Then give them a splash page where they choose the dashboard size they want to view.
