Hi Mynda, i'm trying to add a slicer to my pvTable and having a pop up window asking me to select a connection. "Connnection in this Workbook" , "Connection fle on the Network" etc. is anything i need to setup on my excel file?

To add a slicer to an existing PivotTable, select a cell in the PivotTable and then go to the Insert tab or PivotTable tab > insert slicer. That way Excel will know which PivotTable you're adding the slicer for and won't bring up that dialog box.
