I purchased the Dashboards course and am having trouble adding slicers. Please advise on the attached error.

Welcome to our forum! Your file didn't attach. Please try uploading again. Be sure to click the 'start upload' button after selecting your file and then wait for the grey check mark beside the file size before clicking 'submit reply'.

Thanks for the files. You cannot insert a slicer for a regular chart. Slicers only work with PivotTables and Pivot Charts. In my completed file for lesson 3.04 you'll see there is a PivotTable in column M of the Sales Bar sheet and the Slicer is attached to that PivotTable. Likewise in column B of the Sales Line & Column Charts sheet.
