In New Zealand, the financial year usually ends in March so I need to produce graphs showing the months April through March but it displays them on a calendar year basis. How do I force it to show the financial year?

Sample workbook is attached.

Hi Peter

You could try sorting your Pivot Table Row Labels by moving  (dragging) April, May and June to the top.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Sunny but when I try to use the Manual sort option I can't get it to work although I may well be doing it incorrectly. See attached.

Kind Regards

Thank you Sunny. After looking at what you have done I finally figured out that you need to right click on the month/s you need to move to activate the "move" menu.

Thanks for your help.

Other way is I think shown in the Dashboard course here by Mynda: make a helper column where you 'translate' the month to the period in the financial year it takes (so April becomes one I think). You can sort then that way.

Hi Frans. Are you able to tell me what session number that was because I'm having trouble getting the slicer to list the months in the order I want.

Regards Peter

I had to search, but here's a blogpost from our Mynda that I think exactly explains how to deal with your problems: https://www.myonlinetraininghub.com/excel-slicers-for-fiscal-years

Good luck!
