Hi Mynda Treacy,
This is a question I posted in Excel forum but I have got no response.
I am writing this question with hope that you can help me.
Question as below.
I sorted the parts with top 4 in value filters and plotted in a bar chart.
Now I am trying to get a slicer listing only top 4 in the same order as the graph; however, I do not know how I can do.
The TOP 4 list would vary depending on selection of year(s).
Please advise if there is any way to do it.
Regards,
MK
Hi Minki,
Welcome to our forum!
The Slicer doesn't respect the Top n filter for the purpose of hiding items with no data, sorry. I wonder if you really need a slicer if you're only displaying the top 4 anyway...is there still a need to filter the chart further.

Hi Mynda,
Thanks for the response.
I was hoping that viewer can easily click the particular parts amongst Top 4's on slicer, rather than searching in filter out of 100 + parts.
By clicking it on slicer, the view can narrow down to specifically related issues further.
Example I uploaded is just a simplified one.

Minki
Hi Minki,
In that case why don't you leave the filter button on the Pivot Chart and allow the user to filter with that, which is searchable? It will still display all items, but it's easier to use when you have hundreds of items. See attached.
