Hi,

Please can you help me as I want to change the color based on the percentage. please check attached file.

Example: less than 50  >>> Red

               between 50 & 70 >>> Yellow

               above 70  >>> Green

Thanks;

Hi Marsil,

There's no conditional formatting in charts, so you need to create 3 separate series, one for each colour. See example file attached. You can change the value in cell AD3 and it will alter the chart bar colour according to your rules.

Try this, it worked for me!

Sart by creating a 2D column chart with your data

Right click on one of the bars ... Format Data Series

Fill ... tick the option to Vary colors by point ... your two bars should now show as different colours ... you can change the colours as you wish

Convert that chart to Stacked Bar Chart and your bars should stay coloured ... as far as I can see, that is the chat you are trying to create

Nice tip, Duncan! Although in this case it won't automatically update based on the values and the colour scales Marsil wants.

Thanks, Mynda.

I have to confess that I did not go as far as changing any of the variables to test the thing fully so it's good to know that follow up.
