I am looking for a solution that enables the user to select multiple weeks via a drop-down list so that the aggregated results generate in a formula driven table, I know I can do this via a pivot table - but the issue there is the filter shows all dates (no custom date filter available for Reporting filters)- and its cumbersome to choose specific dates, which is not what I want. I'd like the user to quickly and easily select "Weeks" --first day of each week in the data set---in order to populate an output table that is linked to the list of dates selected.

Have you tried using Slicers or Timeline Slicers to allow the user to select different levels: days, months, quarters, years etc.?
