Hi

I have been going through the lessons and was wondering, is there a IF formula where I can ask excel to check a range to return a value rather than just a specific cell.

Thanks

Sham!

Hi Sham,

Great to hear you're progressing through the course. The best/most efficient way to do this is with a lookup formula. You can use VLOOKUP on a sorted list to do this, or if you have Microsoft 365, you can use the new XLOOKUP function.

Let me know if you get stuck.

Hi Lynda!

I did try this but I was wondering if there was another formula for it pick up the value and total the values for the same heading in different work sheets.

Thanks

Sham

Probably, but it's difficult for me to give you a specific answer without a specific example. Can you please upload an example file that illustrates the data layout and desired result?
